Roofing Contractor in Pittsburgh.

A Pittsburgh roofing contractor for roof replacement, roof repair, roof inspections, and flat roofs — backed by a general contractor that also understands the framing, flashing, and chimneys underneath.

01 /What we do

Pittsburgh roofing services.

Pittsburgh is hard on a roof. Freeze-thaw winters, heavy leaf fall, steep hillside lots, and houses that are often a century old all work against it. A roof that lasts depends on more than the shingles: the decking, the flashing, the ventilation, and the way water leaves the house all matter.

Plenty of roofers stop at the shingles. As a Pittsburgh roofing company backed by a general contractor, we look at the roof as part of the whole house. If a roof leak is really a failed chimney flashing, a sagging rafter, or a box gutter, we find it and fix the cause rather than covering it up. We work with homeowners across Pittsburgh, Wexford, Sewickley, and Fox Chapel.

01

Roof replacement

Full tear-off down to the deck, repairs to any damaged sheathing, then new underlayment, flashing, ventilation, and architectural shingles or standing-seam metal roofing.

02

Roof repair & leak repair

Roof leaks, missing shingles, failed flashing, and storm damage. We trace where the water is actually getting in before we recommend anything.

03

Flat & low-slope roofs

Rowhouse and infill roofs, rear additions, and porch roofs — common across Lawrenceville, Bloomfield, and the South Side — with drainage planned from the start.

04

Older & complex roofs

Gables, dormers, turrets, and chimneys on Victorian and foursquare homes, detailed so the new roof suits the house and keeps its character.

02 /Repair or replace

Repair it or replace it?

A repair usually makes sense when the damage is limited and the rest of the roof has years left — a few lost shingles, one failed flashing, or a leak around a chimney or vent.

Replacement starts to make more sense when shingles are curling, losing granules, or cracking across several slopes, when leaks keep returning in different places, or when the roof is near the end of its service life. We’ll walk the house, show you what we find, and tell you honestly which one you need.

Roof size and pitch, the number of old layers, decking condition, access on tight or steep lots, and the material you choose all drive the price. We quote a fixed price after we’ve seen the roof.

04 / How we work

The roofing process — inspection to cleanup.

STEP 01

Roof inspection

We look at the roof, the attic, and the flashing, then trace any leaks back to their source. You get a plain explanation of what we found.

STEP 02

Scope & fixed price

We recommend repair or replacement, go through material options, confirm any permit requirements, and give you a fixed price before work starts.

STEP 03

Tear-off & deck check

We strip the old roof, protect the house and landscaping, and check the deck. Any damaged sheathing is shown to you before it gets covered.

STEP 04

New roof system

Ice-and-water protection at the vulnerable edges and valleys, underlayment, flashing, ventilation, and the finished roof, installed as one system.

STEP 05

Cleanup & walkthrough

We clear the site, sweep for nails, and walk the finished work with you so you know exactly what was done.

07 / Common questions

Roofing questions Pittsburgh homeowners actually ask.

How much does a new roof cost in Pittsburgh?

As a planning range, architectural shingle replacement on a typical Pittsburgh home runs about $10,000–$22,000, standing-seam metal about $25,000–$50,000+, and a targeted repair about $500–$3,000. Size, pitch, old layers, decking, and access drive the number. We give a fixed price after seeing the roof.

How long does a roof replacement take?

Most shingle replacements on a typical home take a few working days, weather permitting. Larger, steeper, or more detailed roofs take longer, as does any decking or structural repair found during tear-off. We’ll give you a schedule before we start.

Do you tear off the old roof or go over it?

We recommend a full tear-off. It’s the only way to see the condition of the deck and to install new flashing and underlayment properly. Going over an old roof can hide problems and adds weight to the structure.

Can you repair a leak without replacing the whole roof?

Often, yes. Many leaks come from flashing around chimneys, vents, walls, and valleys rather than from the shingles themselves. We find the source first and tell you whether a repair is the right call.

Can you help with storm damage and insurance claims?

We can inspect the damage, document what we find with photos, and provide a written scope and price to share with your insurer. Your coverage decision rests with your insurance company.

Do you work on flat roofs and older Pittsburgh homes?

Yes. Low-slope roofs on rowhouses and rear additions are common here, as are steep, detailed roofs on Victorian and foursquare homes. We assess the existing structure and drainage first, then recommend what suits the house.

Do you handle emergency roof repairs?

If your roof is actively leaking after a storm, call us at 412-214-9532. We’ll tell you how quickly we can get there and talk through what can be done to limit the damage in the meantime.
