Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Incline Homes, LLC collects when you use incline-homes.com, why we collect it, who else receives it, and what you can do about it. We have written it against how the site is actually configured rather than in general terms, so the cookie and recipient tables below are specific.
1. Who we are
Incline Homes, LLC is a licensed general contractor and home builder based in Wexford, Pennsylvania, working across Pittsburgh and Allegheny County. We are the party responsible for the personal information described here.
- Incline Homes, LLC — 2631 Glenchester Road, Wexford, PA 15090
- PA HIC #PA140856
- damian@incline-homes.com · (412) 214-9532
2. Information you give us
The only information you actively hand over is what you type into a form on this site. Depending on the form, that is:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Your message, and any project details the form asks for — the service you need, rough budget, timeline, and the ZIP code or neighbourhood of the property
We ask for a phone number because a build enquiry is faster to answer by phone than by email. Everything else is optional. We do not ask for, and have no use for, financial account details, Social Security numbers or any government identifier through this website.
3. Information collected automatically
Like almost every website, ours records some technical information on each visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the site or advert that referred you, and the date and time. Our host and our caching layer keep short-lived server logs containing this.
We also record how you arrived — specifically, the advertising click identifiers and campaign parameters attached to the link you followed (for example Google’s gclid or Meta’s fbclid, and any utm_ tags). This is what lets us tell which advert or search produced an enquiry.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We use both our own cookies and cookies set by Google and Meta. There is no consent banner on this site: we are a Pennsylvania business serving a Pennsylvania market, and Pennsylvania has no statute requiring one. If you would rather not be measured, section 8 sets out how to opt out.
| Cookie | Set by | Life | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| ih_attr | Incline Homes | 90 days | Remembers which advert, search or link brought you here, so an enquiry can be credited to the right campaign. |
| ih_ab | Incline Homes | 90 days | Keeps you on the same version of a page while we test two variants against each other. |
| ih_fb_eid | Incline Homes | 30 minutes | A one-off random identifier created when you submit a form, so that the same enquiry reported to Meta twice is recognised as one enquiry rather than two. It contains nothing about you. |
| _fbp, _fbc | Meta | 90 days | Meta’s advertising cookies. _fbc records the advert you clicked; _fbp is a browser identifier used for advertising measurement. |
| _ga, _ga_* | up to 2 years | Google Analytics 4 — counts visits and shows which pages are used. | |
| Google Ads cookies | up to 90 days | Measures whether an advert click led to an enquiry. | |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Cloudflare | session | Confirms a form was submitted by a person, not a bot. |
5. Advertising, measurement, and hashed contact details
We advertise on Google and on Meta (Facebook and Instagram). To know whether that spending produces real enquiries rather than clicks, we report conversions back to those platforms. Two parts of this deserve to be stated plainly rather than buried.
Hashed contact details are sent to advertising platforms
When you submit an enquiry, your email address and phone number are converted into an irreversible cryptographic fingerprint (a SHA-256 hash) and that fingerprint — not the address or number itself — is sent to the advertising platform. The platform compares it against its own users to confirm that someone who saw or clicked our advert went on to contact us.
- Google receives hashed contact details today, through the Google Ads enhanced-conversions feature. The hashing happens in your browser, so Google never receives the plain values from us.
- Meta currently receives only the browser events described in the cookie table. We have built, but not yet switched on, a server-side connection (Meta’s Conversions API) that would send the same kind of hashed email address and phone number. When we enable it, it will operate exactly as described here, and this policy already covers it.
A hash cannot be reversed back into your email address or phone number. It can, however, be matched against the same value held elsewhere — that is the entire point of it. We think that is worth understanding before you decide whether to opt out.
Housing-related advertising
Our adverts run under the advertising platforms’ Special Ad Category rules for housing, which deliberately restrict how narrowly a housing advert may be targeted. We do not target adverts by ZIP code, age, gender or any related characteristic.
6. How we use your information
- To answer your enquiry and discuss your project — the reason the form exists
- To send you a reply, and to keep a record of what was asked and what we answered
- To understand which adverts, search terms and pages produce genuine enquiries, and to stop paying for the ones that do not
- To keep the site working, fast and free of spam submissions
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share advertising identifiers with Google and Meta as described above, which some US state privacy laws classify as “sharing” or “targeted advertising” — see section 8.
7. Who else receives it
We keep the list of companies who touch this data as short as we can. Each one is used for the purpose stated and nothing else.
| Recipient | What they receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Google LLC | Site usage, advert click identifiers, and hashed email/phone for conversion matching | Google Analytics 4, Google Ads and Google Tag Manager |
| Meta Platforms, Inc. | Browser events and Meta’s own advertising cookies; hashed email/phone if and when the Conversions API is enabled | Advertising measurement on Facebook and Instagram |
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Technical signals from the form challenge | Spam and bot protection (Turnstile) |
| Hostinger | Everything the site stores, as our host | Web hosting |
| Resend | The contents of your enquiry, in order to deliver it | Sends the notification email to us |
| Axccelerate | Enquiry details and campaign attribution | Our marketing agency; operates this site and the reporting dashboard we use to review enquiries |
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where we need to establish or defend a legal claim.
8. Your choices and your rights
Pennsylvania has no comprehensive consumer privacy statute. Several other states do, and those laws generally follow where the resident lives rather than where the business sits — so if you live in one of them, you have rights here regardless of the fact that we are a Pennsylvania builder. We extend the following to anyone who asks, rather than checking your state first:
- Access — ask what we hold about you
- Correction — have us fix anything wrong
- Deletion — have us delete your enquiry and contact details
- Opt out of targeted advertising — have us stop sharing your identifiers with advertising platforms
Email damian@incline-homes.com and say what you want done. We will not charge you, and we will not treat you differently for asking. We may need to confirm you are the person who submitted the enquiry before acting on it.
Turning off tracking yourself
- Your browser can block or delete cookies, including all of those in section 4.
- Google’s opt-outs: Analytics opt-out and Ads settings.
- Meta’s advertising controls are in your Facebook or Instagram account settings.
- If you use a browser or extension that sends a Global Privacy Control signal, email us and we will apply it to any record we hold for you. We do not currently detect the signal automatically, and we would rather say that than claim otherwise.
9. How long we keep it
- Enquiries — kept while we are in contact and for up to three years afterwards, since building projects are often revisited long after the first conversation.
- Campaign and usage data — kept in aggregate. Google Analytics data expires on Google’s own retention schedule.
- Server logs — short-lived, and kept only for security and troubleshooting.
If you ask us to delete your enquiry, we do so rather than waiting for these periods to run out.
10. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, form submissions are protected against automated abuse, and access to the enquiry records is limited to the people who need it. No website can promise perfect security, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.
11. Children
This site is meant for adults commissioning building work. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us something, email us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information — for instance when the Meta Conversions API described in section 5 is switched on — we will update this page and change the date at the top.
