New Home Construction in Pittsburgh.

New homes built on your lot or ours — modern infill on tight city parcels, hillside builds, and ground-up new construction across Pittsburgh. One builder from the first lot walk to the day you get the keys.

01 /What we build

Ground-up new home construction across Pittsburgh.

We’re a Pittsburgh home builder that takes a new build from raw lot to finished home without handing you off between three different companies. Modern infill on a narrow Lawrenceville or Polish Hill lot, a hillside build with a city view, or a new home in the North Hills — we handle design, permitting, and construction as one continuous job.

Every new build is engineered for the actual lot, not dropped from a catalog — we build on your lot, or help you find and build on ours. Want full architectural customization, bespoke plans, and premium finishes? That’s our custom home builder in Pittsburgh service.

01

Build on your lot

Already own the land? We assess the lot, confirm what it can take, and build a home designed around its grade, setbacks, and views.

02

Designed for your lot

Architect-led plans tailored to your site and how you live — not a stock plan. You approve the design and a fixed scope before the foundation goes in.

03

Permits & approvals

We pull permits through Pittsburgh PLI and the surrounding municipalities, manage zoning and inspections, and keep the schedule moving.

04

Warranty-backed

A written warranty and a builder who answers the phone after closing — not a company that disappears the day you move in.

02 / How we build

Our new construction process — from lot to move-in.

STEP 01

Consultation & design

We walk the lot, talk budget honestly, and develop architect-led plans around how you want to live. You approve a fixed design and scope before we break ground.

STEP 02

Permits & foundation

We handle zoning, permits, and approvals, then excavate and pour the foundation — engineered footings and retaining where Pittsburgh’s hillside lots demand them.

STEP 03

Framing through dry-in

Framing, roof, windows, and the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough-ins — inspected at every stage before we close the walls.

STEP 04

Finishes & closing

Cabinetry, tile, floors, trim, and fixtures, a full punch-list walk, the certificate of occupancy, and a clean handover with your warranty in hand.

Whether you bring the land or we help you find it, a new build with us includes the full scope — no surprise line items mid-project.

Lot evaluation

Soil, grade, zoning, setbacks, and utility access reviewed before you commit — so you know what the lot can build.

Design & engineering

Architect-led custom plans and structural engineering, with weekly client reviews through design.

Site work & foundation

Excavation, retaining, and foundation built for the parcel — including helical piers or deepened footings on hillside lots.

Turn-key finishes

Kitchens, baths, flooring, trim, and fixtures selected with you, installed by our crews, and warrantied.

    05 / Common questions

New construction questions Pittsburgh homeowners actually ask.

How much does it cost to build a new home in Pittsburgh?

Standard new home construction in the Pittsburgh area runs $200–$250 per square foot for a build with mid-range finishes and a straightforward site. Custom or high-end builds run $250–$325+ per square foot with premium materials, custom millwork, smart-home integration, and complex site work. A 2,000 sq ft home typically lands between $400,000 and $650,000+ for construction alone, with land, design fees, and site preparation additional. The final number depends on lot conditions (hillside grading, foundation type), scope, square footage, and finish tier. We give a fixed price after a walkthrough and a lot evaluation — not an estimate range.

Can you build on my lot in Pittsburgh?

Yes — build-on-your-lot is most of what we do. We start with a lot evaluation (soil, grade, zoning, setbacks, utilities) to confirm what’s feasible, then design a home around the parcel. Tight city infill lots and hillside sites are a specialty.

How long does it take to build a new home?

Most custom homes run 9–14 months from signed plans to closing, depending on size, site complexity, and permit timelines. Hillside lots and complex foundations add time on the front end. We give you a realistic schedule before we start.

Do you provide financing or work with construction loans?

We work with your lender on construction-to-permanent loans and can point you to local lenders who do them well. See our financing options for more.

Is the home really custom, or a stock plan?

Genuinely custom. We design around your lot and how you live — layout, finishes, and budget are yours. If you want to go fully bespoke, see our custom home builder page.

What warranty comes with a new build?

You get a written builder’s warranty, and we stand behind the home after closing — a callback policy and a builder who actually answers. We’d rather fix something small than lose a referral.
